The Lebanese opened our culinary eyes to a shared table, where a single meal will typically feature several smaller servings and where a number of side dishes will be served with the main course. The prevalent use of chickpeas, beans, eggplant and vegetables of all kinds has Lebanese cuisine considered “health food” and also makes it very popular with vegetarians. For those who aren’t, “shish taouk" and "shawarma" (crumbled chicken and barbecued beef, respectively) are a delicious addition to any platter. Don’t forget to try the tabouleh, a Lebanese salad of parsley, bulgur and tomatoes; a classic dish enjoyed the world over! Tempting, isn’t it? Alce.ca is standing by!
