Belgian food is massive, happy and diversified. It celebrates everything that is sweet and filling. We can easily associate to this : waffles, stuffed buns, chocolate desserts and dough of all kinds. On the salty side, we give it to several rustic dishes and "traditional" ones such has fish like monkfish, pike and trout. For the meats, pork and beef dominate and are often accompanied by a dash of beer. We must not forget the famous Belgian fries which are cooked twice, in 2 times, to ensure them that crunchy taste to the bite that then melts in the mouth!
